Tens of thousands of netizens watched live the online conference organized by the National Executive Council of Popular Front of India with the slogan "Lockdown Fascism: Unmask the Hidden Agenda". The conference was organized to expose the misuse of the corona lockdown by the central government to intensify its authoritarian measures, and also draw the attention of the citizens towards the utter disregard of the authorities over the plight of millions of poor people stranded across the country due to the lockdown.
Our country has witnessed in recent times a well-planned anti-Muslim hate campaign by the Hindutva fascist forces. The objective of this hate campaign was to demonize the Muslim community. Social media was flooded with hate posts alleging that the Corona virus was a planned conspiracy of Muslims. Unfortunately, the mainstream which was supposed to expose the hate news factory also joined this campaign and ran prime time news debates directly targetting the Muslim community.
New Delhi: A resolution passed by the meeting of the National Secretariat of Popular Front of India held in New Delhi called upon the government to stop the covert saffronisation and corporatization of the country’s educational system and to solve the systemic problems of teaching. While The Draft New Education Policy 2016 affirms the existence of serious problems with current education system, it does not have anything substantial to offer in addressing those problems.
Popular Front of India is holding a month long campaign called ‘Stop Hatred’ from September 1 to 30, against the growing atmosphere of hate in the country. The Ideals of tolerance and peaceful co-existence has been seriously threatened by the recent political and social developments in our country, especially after the present central government coming to power. We are witnessing a surge in the communal vigilantism against people for what they speak and what they eat.

The Kerala State finale of the month long Popular Front campaign “Stop, Politics of Hate” took place here in the historic city of Kozhikode with a grand public meeting preceded by volunteer march and a massive public rally.
