Popular Front of India decided to hold a National Awareness Campaign under the caption “Babri Masjid Demands Justice” from December 6, 2010 to January 30, 2011. The commencing and concluding dates of the campaign, December 6 and January 30 are the most unforgettable days in the history of post-independent India. It was on January 30, 1948 Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by agents of Hindutva Fascism. And on December 6, 1992 the country witnessed another attack on the secular fabric of the country when the same forces demolished the centuries old Babri Masjid.
During this campaign period December 10 will be observed as “Anti-Terrorism Day” highlighting the theme “Fight Terrorism, Uphold Human Rights”. This campaign is a timely task in the background of the unjust Babri verdict by the Allahabad High Court and the role of RSS in recent explosions as revealed by the investigating agencies. The campaign will include public program at district level, poster campaigns, Babri Masjid documentary video distribution, protest rallies and Dharnas. Many organization working among different sections of societies will join hands with Popular Front of India in this campaign.
Liberhan Commission was set up following the demolition of the Babri Mosque and the riots in Ayodhya city. The Commission was expected to submit its report within three months but it took seventeen years in this regard. And the Central Government has failed to take action till today. Seventeen years have passed and still the Muslims are waiting for justice regarding Babri Mosque demolition and culprit continue to roam free. .In these circumstances; we are going to organize a Dharna program in Jantar Mantar premises on 6th December, 2010 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. We are inviting Hon’ble M.Ps, Journalists, Social Activists, Human Right Activists, Leader of secular political parties, Scholars and community leaders to address this Dharna.
Popular Front of India calls upon all the citizens of this country to come forward to establish the right to rebuild Babri Masjid at the same site which is a struggle for fulfilling the ideals of freedom, justice and security in this country.
