Malappuram: C. Abdul Hameed and K H Nasar were elected as President and General Secretary of Popular Front Kerala by the State General Assembly held at Puthanathani in Malappuram for the term 2015-16. K Muhammedali (Malapppuram) was elected as state vice-president and B Noushad(Calicut) A Abdul Sathar(Kollam) as secretaries. CP Muhammed Basheer( Malappuram) was elected as the state Treasurer.

High level investigation needed about the US ship: Popular Front

Calicut: The Popular Front of India has called for a multi-agency investigation about the mysterious US arms ship M.V. Seaman Guard Ohio seized at Tuticorin by Indian Coast Guard on 11th October.

In a resolution the National Executive Council of the organization has observed that the refusal of the authorities to come out open before the public, adds to the suspicion that the government is under US pressure.

Popular Front of India welcomes the fast track courts

Calicut:Popular Front of India welcomed the steps initiated by the Union Home Minister to institute fast-track courts to deal with Muslim prisoners jailed under UAPA and such draconian laws.

In a resolution passed by the national executive council of the organization held in Calicut 0n 18-19th May 2013, the organization observed that such urgent measures are necessary to put on trial hundreds of remand prisoners in the country and decide their fate.

Popular Front strongly condemns the killing of Muslim citizens of Myanmar

Calicut: The National Executive Council of Popular Front of India held on 27th March 2013 at Calicut Kerala has strongly condemned the brutal massacre of Muslim citizens of Myanmar. The genocide of Muslim citizens in Arakan has continued uninterrupted since last June and has now spread to other areas. The victims are in a helpless condition as they are not receiving any help from the international community. The NEC of Popular Front strongly condemns the failure of the Myanmar Government to stop the violence and protect the lives of her own citizens.

Popular Front launching school chalo campaign

Calicut:  Popular Front of India will launch a nation-wide School Chalo (Go to School) campaign in the month of May. This month long educational awareness and promotion programme will be carried out by the state committees of Popular Front in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Manipur.
