The state home minister is continuing to issue statements on KFD linking it to the murder of a businessman in Hunsur. The state BJP government has in the past also displayed a tendency to commit such an atrocity on Popular Front of India during its Jail Bharo agitation of Mysore in 2009. This was certified by the Honorable High Court of Karnataka subsequently.

This is nothing but a repeat performance by the current home minister who is following the footsteps of his predecessor in office Mr. VS Acharya.

Popular Front condemns government’s decision to teach bhagavadgita in schools

Bangalore: Popular Front of India, Karnataka state unit has strongly condemned the decision of Karnataka state government to teach bhagavadgitha in government schools.

Riyaz Pasha, state general secretary of Popular Front, has said in a press statement that the government should revoke the circular that was issued ordering teaching of bagavadgitha in schools compulsory.

Abdul Rahiman in a letter written to Mr. Salman Khurshid, Minister for Minority Affairs urged the Central Government to solve the issue of Muslim reservation incorporating all genuine demands that came from the Muslim community. He has referred to recent reported statement by the minister that the consultation process on the subject of Muslim reservation is over and the Union Home Ministry was set to submit the final proposal after a meeting of all ministries and governmental agencies to be convened for the purpose.
