The Central Secretariat meeting of Popular Front of India has strongly condemned the remarks of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at Dharma Sansad held in Udupi that ‘only Ram Mandir and nothing else will be built in Ayodhya’ at the place where Babri Masjid stood before its demolition. This assertion of RSS chief days before the Hon’ble Supreme Court begins its final hearing on the appeals in Babri Masjid – Ram Janmabhoomi case is an attempt to influence the apex court and it amount to contempt of judiciary.
An interactive panel Discussion was organized on the topic" Remembering Babri Masjid at 25 Years" on by Popular Front at its headquarters in New Delhi. The panelists were Dr Tasleem Rahmani (President, Muslim Political Council of India), Sreenivasan Ragavan (President, Lok Raj Sangathan), Mufti Aijas Arshad Qasmi (Member, All India Muslim personal Law Board), Ashok Barati (chairman, Jan Samman Party) and Mohammed Shafi (General Secretary, SDPI).
Popular Front of India filed complaints against the TV channels India Today, Aajtak and Times Now for telecasting defamatory news about the organisation, before the National Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) which is a self-regulatory body headed by Justice R.V. Raveendran.
The INDIA TODAY, AAJTAK and TIMESNOW have been continuously telecasting the myths, false allegations, blanket lies, substandard news against the Popular Front with ulterior motives. They were trying to pose the organization in the bad light among the public.
Popular Front of India filed a criminal complaint in the New Delhi Parliament Street police station against the TIMESNOW Television channel, its editors, their reporter, their accomplices and the responsible officials of MHA for accessing or leaking the official secrets in the Ministry of Home Affairs and airing the same among the public in a manner defaming the organisation.
The Grand Conference of Popular front of India held at Shastri park, Delhi on 5th October 2017 turned out to be successful defeating all attempts by administration and police to foil it. This conference was part of the campaign “We also have something to say” being organized by Popular Front of India across the country to expose the false allegations against the organization.
Kurnool: The Grand Conference of Popular Front of India as part of the national campaign “We also have something to say” witnessed an ocean of people in the city of Kurnool, AP. As per the people of the city this is the first time the city of Kurnool witnessed such a huge gathering. The huge participation of Women in the conference was also a highlight.
Jagtial, Telangana, 22 Oct. 2017: “We also have something to say”, the grand conference at Jagtial city after the success of Bangalore’s massive and historical gathering, has been attended by thousands and addressed by prominent scholars, leaders and rights activists.
The conference started with the historical rhymes “Sare Jahan Se Acha, Hindustan Hamara”, PFI Deccan Zone Secretary Arif Ahmed, welcomed the guests and presented the organizational state unit’s activity report.
Amidst recent media reports of the Central Government moves to Popular Front of India, tens of thousands, men, women and children, drawn from all parts of Kerala, flocked to Trivandrum city to attend the mega rally and the grand conference that followed, organized by the Kerala state committee of the organization with the slogan “We also have something to say”. The massively attended gathering became a warning against the sinister attempts of the right-wing government to suppress democratic Muslim movements and initiatives labeling them as anti-national and demonizing them.
The meeting of the National Executive Council of Popular Front of India strongly condemned the vilification campaign launched by certain sections of media and challenged them to produce concrete evidence to prove their allegations. They quote an alleged National Investigation Agency report which looks like a rehash of false propaganda carried by the Hindutva organizations especially RSS. The cases listed by the media quoting NIA are so insignificant and unrelated to Popular Front as an organization. The meeting has decided to move legally against this ill-advised propaganda.
Popular Front Chairman E Abubacker expressed deep condolence on the demise of Muslim leader from Karnataka Kamarul Islam. E Abubacker has said that Qamarul Islam’s death will leave the gap of wise compassionate leader for the Muslim community in the region. He deeply cared for his people. He entered politics through Muslim League and emerged as strong leader in Congress. He is a Congress MLA at present and he remained invincible politician in Kalaburagi until his death. The undying support he received from people is proof enough how much they trusted him.
