For the last few days, the northeastern parts of our national capital witnessed the worst kind of atrocities by Sangh Parivar inspired mobs on innocent people. The violence has already left 38 people dead and several hundreds seriously injured. Many houses, shops, schools, other properties and livelihoods of people were destroyed.
Popular Front of India General Secretary Anis Ahmed has stated that the violence taking over the national capital is not a spontaneous one but planned and executed by Sangh Parivar and aided by the police. General Secretary of Popular Front expressed deep resentment over the loss of lives and properties.
The National General Assembly of Popular Front of India which was held for three days in Malppuram district of Kerala concluded with a call to all citizens, classes and civil society groups to build a wider movement for saving our nation and its constitution from communal fascist threats.

Popular Front of India U P State Ad-hoc Committee Convener Waseem Ahmed who was jailed after implicating in alleged citizenship protest related violence in Lucknow on 16 December 2019 was released. Waseem Ahmed was taken in police custody, remanded and granted bail after a two weeks along with other falsely implicated activists like Darapuri, Shoaib, Sadaf Jafar etc. But he was further detained in jail by implicating in new cases. The court also rejected the arguments raised by the prosecution against him being granted bail in the new cases.
