HC quashes case against PFI cadres

The Madras High Court has quashed cases foisted against more than 1000 members of Popular Front of India in connection with the incidents that occurred during a rally in February at Ramanathapuram. The cases were registered under different sections including rioting, attempt to murder and unlawful assembly.

Documentary film on restoration of Wakf properties released

The properties that are donated for the welfare of the Muslim community are known as Wakf properties. But in general such properties are encroached by the individuals, corporates and even Government departments. Sachar committee report has clearly pointed out that none in the Muslim community will be poor if the wakf properties are maintained and utilized properly. Popular Front of India has been carrying out awareness campaigns and demonstrations to safeguard and restore the wakf properties.

PFI Scholarships Distributed

Kozhikode: As a part of its nation-wide campaign for promotion of education, PFI Kerala State Committee distributed scholarships for deserving students in special programmes held in four parts of the state. K. Sadath, state secretary, PFI, distributed the scholarships in Malappuram-Puthanathani, while P. Abdul Hameed, vice president, in Karunagappalli, Karamana Ashraf Moulavi, state president, in Thalassery, B. Noushad, state secretary, in Ernakulam respectively. This scholarship was endowed for economically backward students but who are bright in learning.

Ramadan kits distributed in Delhi by Popular Front

In the holy month of Ramadan, Popular Front of India, Delhi state organised a program to distribute the Ramadan kits to the 170 needy family in the locality of Jamia nager, Jafarabad, Salim pura, Mulla colony and Tirlok puri. According to Mohammed Talha, Delhi state secretary, "our cadres started survey before Ramadan to identify the needy family in our locality and prepared the ramadan kits which includes all the necessary food items enough for one month, worth of Rs 2000 each.

Popular Front organizes Ramadan get-togethers in Rajasthan

Jaipur: The Rajasthan state unit of Popular Front has organized Ramadan Get together in major cities of the state like Jaipur and Kota on 21st and 22nd of July 2014. These programs are aimed to develop more interaction between the community leaders/organization and Popular Front. These get-togethers have also helped the organization to presents its activities and reports before the leaders of the community and get their valuable suggestions.
