Mangalore: Popular Front boycotts peace meet in commissioner’s office, condemns police bias

Mangalore: Popular Front of India, Imams Council, Social Democratic Party of India and other some Muslim organizations have boycotted the Peace Meet held by district administration at Police Commissioner’s office, Mangalore, sighting that there is no one in the meeting to hear the grievance of Muslims as the people representatives were not invited to it and police were completely bias against Muslim community during the riots.

Drinking water project inauguration

Trichy: A number of social welfare schemes are being inaugurated by Popular Front of India. As part of the people welfare measures, a drinking water project was inaugurated at Pallakalpatti village, Trichy district on November 29.

The inaugural function was presided by A. Mohamed Siddiq, District Secretary of PFI. S. Illyas, State Secretary of Popular Front of India inaugurated the drinking water project.

Popular Front of India demands withdrawal of UAPA invoked against CPM workers

Popular Front of India in a press conference here demanded to withdraw UAPA invoked against the accused CPM workers in the RSS activist Kathirur Manoj murder case in Kannur. All cases in Kerala in which UAPA has been invoked should be reviewed, they demanded.
UAPA was first invoked in Kerala by Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, the Home Minister in the CPM led ministry in 2010 against the accused in a case of attack on a college professor in Muvattupuzha for his blasphemous comments.

Healthy Peolple Healthy Nation Campaign Kicked off

Mass race, Yoga demonstrations and health awareness programs were held at 109 points across the state in connection with the national campaign titled “Healthy People, Healthy Nation” being conducted by Popular Front of India from 15th to 30th October.

Popular Front State Vice President C. Abdul Hameed inaugurated the state level program at Kannur. State General Secretary K. Sadath and State Secretary B. Noushad flagged off the mass race at Thiruvanathapuram and Kozhikode respectively. Personalities from socio-cultural spheres participated in the program at various places.

Healthy People Healthy Nation campaign inaugurated in the State

Healthy People Healthy Nation campaign is being conducted by Popular Front of India all over the nation every year. During this campaign, the public is educated on the health and hygienic issues. This year the campaign is planned from October 15 to 30.

The inaugural function of the campaign was held at Trichy on October 12. A marathon was organized by the State unit of Popular Front to mark the inauguration. The marathon was inaugurated by Advocate Shahjahan, State Treasurer of Popular Front of India.

Jumuah collection for Kashmir flood victims

The recent floods in the Kashmir valley have devastated the life of the Kashmiris. Thousands of people were affected by the floods and are in urgent need of help. Various organizations and volunteers have extended their helping hands for the flood victims and have also volunteered their services. Popular Front of India has also extended its support for the flood victims of Kashmir.

Popular Front demonstrates against the speech by BJP MP

The recent speech by BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj against the madarasas is yet another example of the venomous and irresponsible speech by the leaders of the saffron party. The Unnao MP on the seventh of this month said that the breeding places of terrorism. He also stated that love jihad is also being taught at the madarasas. Such a speech by a member of the Parliament is against the sovereign nature of the nation. Its to be remembered that the Home Minister Rajnath Singh, said that he is not aware of any love jihad, while the journalists questioned him.
