New Delhi: Popular Front of India chairman E. M. Abdul Rahiman expressed the hope that the interim stay order issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Babri Masjid title suit case should not cause indefinite delay in pronouncing judgment by the Allahabad High Court.
The Division Bench which heard the petition itself is divided on the issue of delaying the title judgment. The observation of Justice R. V. Raveendran that why the issues raised by the petitioner for the stay had not been solved during the past 60 years of litigation is meaningful. The argument of the petitioner that further attempt to be made for the consensus among both the parties of the case was already rejected by the Allahabad High Court Bench which heard the title case. The parties involved in the case were not ready for the same. It also adds to the apprehension regarding the delay of the case verdict that the Central Government which was not a party in the case so far is now asked to file its affidavit. However it is in the interest of the long pending ownership issue and the nation at large that the judgment is pronounced at the earliest. Even then both the parties will be having an option to appeal before the Supreme Court.
On behalf of the Popular Front of India, E. M. Abdul Rahiman once again appealed to all sections of the people to wait for judicial settlement and maintain peace and harmony in the country at any cost.
