Goa: On the eve of International Anti Torture Day on June 26, Popular Front of India Goa chapter submitted a memorandum to the District collector at South Goa District Collectorate, Margoa.
"Tortures in all forms is unacceptable" demands the protesters in a dharna organised before the collectorate and urges to put an end to all sorts of Tortures. Activist from various human rights organisations including the Goa chapter of National Confederation of Human rights Organisations (NCHRO) had participated and expressed their solidarity.
Finally, a team of activists led by Shaikh Abdul Rauf, President of Popular Front of India,Goa, submitted a memorandum to Venancio Furtado, South Goa district Collector. Sayed Iftiyaz, General Secretary, Zabir Ahmed, Vice president, Popular Front of india, and Laurel Abranches Social Activist were present with him.
