New Delhi: Okhla is a high density of population areas Of Delhi.The upcoming waste-to-energy plant in this region which is expected to be operational in July is going to be a severe threat to public life. Every day 2050 tons waste which contains plastic, paper and even medical waste generating toxic gasses will be burnt in the plant. It will be operated by Jindal Group of companies.

Ban Endosulfan: Popular Front demands PM

Kozhikkode: Popular Front of India called upon the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to ban Endosulfan with immediate effect and to take stand in Stockholm convention facilitating its ban. Popular Front chairman E M Abdul Rahman and Kerala state president Karamana Ashraf Moulavi sent fax messages in this regard to the president of India, Prathibha Pattil, Prime Minister Manmoham Singh, union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar, union environment minister Jairam Ramesh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
