A heavy blow on the ugly face of Delhi Police and their political masters, Delhi Metropolitan Magistrate Prabh Deep Kaur granted bail to Parvez Ahmed , Popular Front of India Delhi state president and state secretary Mohammad Ilyas and member Mohammed Danish. The court asked the investigating officer (IO) to submit a written explanation by March 17 as to why they were not granted bail at first instance, despite the fact that alleged offences being bailable.

Parvez and Ilyas were sent to a seven-day police remand last Thursday, whereas Danish was sent to a four-day police custody on Monday for interrogation alleging involvement in funding of communal violence in North East Delhi.
The bail order came after the police sought further custodial interrogation of the accused.

Popular Front of India chairman O M A Salam has welcomed the bail order and urged the government and police to refrain from framing the organisation members in false cases out of political vendetta.
