Road Blockade at Madurai by Federation against False Cases foisted on Muslim Youths

Madurai July 9 : Madurai City Police is foisting the false cases against Muslims continuously. To fight against these violations a federation was formed by name ‘Federation against False Cases foisted on Muslim Youths’ and the federation nominated S.P. Mohamed Nasrudeen as the Convener.

Nasrudeen is the District President of Popular Front, Madurai. Popular Front of India, Jammiyathu Ahlil Quran val Hadees (JAQH), Indian Thowheed Jamaath (INTJ), SDPI, NCHRO, Manithaneya Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, NWF, All India Imams Council are the federation members. A poster campaign was floated 3 days before to drop the false case and to initiate action against errant police officials and protest was also announced. Yesterday, the City Police Commissioner called for talks and he pacified not to go for protest. Federation stood its stand in the peace meeting and informed the Commissioner, “If the police are ready to fulfill the demands tonight itself, we will consider. Otherwise we won’t ready to give up the protest”. The demands were ignored by the Commissioner and they denied the permission to protest also. Anyhow, today the protest was conducted by 2 pm after Jumma near Nelpettai Anna Statute condemning the violation of Police, Thousands of Muslims including Women are gathered and raised the slogans to drop the false cases against innocent Muslim youths and to initiate action Vellaithurai, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madurai Town and Muthukumar, Special Sub –inspector of Police, B 1 Police Station. Nasrudeen, Convener of the Federation presided the protest.
