Popular front day celebrated at Maharashtra

It was on this date that Popular Front of India was dedicated to the people of India as a national organization in the historic Empower India Conference held at Bangalore in 2007. The National organization was formed by merging three state organizations NDF, KFD and MNP that were working in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Later the National Executive Council of Popular Front of India has decided to celebrate 17th February as Popular Front Day. Since then Popular front members and well wishers all over the country celebrated this day as foundation day of Popular front of India.

Popular Front Day: Flag hoisted at State headquarters

Popular Front Day is celebrated on February 17 all over the nation. Flag hoisting, public welfare schemes, medical camps, public meetings and rallies are conducted for the past three years to mark the day.

As part of the celebrations in Tamil nadu, State president Mohamed Ismail hoisted the flag at the State headquarters today morning. He also delivered the speech after the flag hoisting. Cadres of Popular Front of India and public were present in large numbers.

Press Meet held at Chennai

A press meet was arranged by Popular Front of India on February 11 at the Chennai Press Club, on account of Popular Front Day. State President Mohamed Ismail addressed the press. The Popular Front Day is to be celebrated on the 17th of February. Flag hoisting, welfare schemes, medical camps, public meetings, rallies were conducted in the past three years and awareness was created among the masses about their rights.

On February 1st 2015, Atul Bhagwanrao Waghmare (29 years), a chemical engineer, employed with Yogeshwari Polytechnic College as professor in Ambejogai, dist. Beed, was found dead in a mysterious condition with his charred body in an apartment located in Anand Nagar on Basmat Road of Parbhani. He was resident of Pathri taluka of Parbhani.
