“Stop Politics of Hate” national campaign to be launched at Kanyakumari: Popular Front

New Delhi: The national campaign of Popular Front of India “ Stop Politics of Hate” will be launched tomorrow i.e. 1st September 2016 in a grand public meeting at Nagercoil, Kanyakumari dist., Tamil Nadu. The campaign will be inaugurated by the Chairman of Popular Front of India Mr. K.M. Shareef. The conclusion programme of the campaign will be held at New Delhi on 3rd October.

Withdraw from moves to saffronize education system

New Delhi: A resolution passed by the meeting of the National Secretariat of Popular Front of India held in New Delhi called upon the government to stop the covert saffronisation and corporatization of the country’s educational system and to solve the systemic problems of teaching. While The Draft New Education Policy 2016 affirms the existence of serious problems with current education system, it does not have anything substantial to offer in addressing those problems.

Popular Front of India is holding a month long campaign called ‘Stop Hatred’ from September 1 to 30, against the growing atmosphere of hate in the country. The Ideals of tolerance and peaceful co-existence has been seriously threatened by the recent political and social developments in our country, especially after the present central government coming to power. We are witnessing a surge in the communal vigilantism against people for what they speak and what they eat.

New Delhi: In a statement responding to the Hindutwa attacks on Dalits in Gujarat, Popular Front of India Chairman KM Shareef demanded strong action against the culprits and ensure the safety and security of the Dalits. It is shameful for a democratic society that a group of people attacked others for their food habits and then lynched them in public that too in the presence of police.

The Chairman of Popular Front of India, KM Shareef expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of Hashim Ansari, the oldest litigant for Babri Masjid.
Born in 1921, for most part of his life from the young age of 28 until its end this morning at the age of 96, he was in the forefront of a legal wrangle for the cause of Babri Masjid. His legal fight started in 1949 from when the Masjid began to be targeted.His life and the legacy he leaves behind is a lesson in perseverance.

Popular Front announces Higher Education Scholarship

Popular Front of India announces scholarship program 2016. This scholarship scheme is for poor and meritorious students who wish to pursue higher studies after completing Higher Secondary (12th). Applications are invited from students who are pursuing their course in the academic year 2016-17. It’s is the sixth consecutive year Popular front is implementing this national scholarship scheme for higher education.
