New Delhi: Popular Front of India Chairman KM Shareef in his statement today condemned the genocidal attack unleashed on the defenseless people of Aleppo by the armed forces of the dictator Basharul Assad with the support of Iran, Russia and Shia militias. What is happening in Syria is a genocidal attack on the people because they have stood up against decades-long brutal dictatorship for their democratic rights. Thousands of people including women and children are stuck in the city. There are reports of rape and children being burned alive.
In a statement released on the eve of the 24th anniversary of the demolition of the historic Babri Masjid by Hindutwa forces, Popular Front Chairman K M Shareef demanded rebuilding Babri Masjid at its actual site as was promised by the government to the nation immediately after the demolition. The attack had left a permanent blemish on the face secular democratic face of India. Babri Masjid demolition was a deliberate attempt by Sangh Parivar. The demolition would not have been possible without the support of the Congress party which was in power at the time.
The National Executive Council meeting of Popular Front of India held at Calicut, Kerala, in a resolution, expressed deep concern over the upsurge in state violence of various forms in the country. Brutal measures like fake encounters and draconian laws are increasingly being used to quell political dissent. In the last two months itself, dozens of people were killed in police encounters in various part of the country. Muslims, Dalits and Adivasis constitute majority of the victims in these extra judicial killings and other repressive measures.
The chairman of Popular Front of India, KM Shareef has issued statement conveying the support of Popular Front to all forms of people’s agitation against demonetization. He stated “the recent decision of demonetization by the central government is being vehemently opposed by the citizens across the country. As reported by various media this decision has impacted all sections of the society and more specifically the farmers, traders, daily wage labourers and economically weaker sections.
New Delhi: Popular Front Chairman KM Shareef condemned the five year ban enforced by central government on Islamic Research Foundation saying that the move is an assault on religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. The move is yet another example of the ongoing infringement of the civil rights of minorities and this ban is intended to hinder the constitutional rights of religious propagation.
Popular Front of India in a statement issued by the Central Secretariat has denounced the Bhopal encounter killings and demanded a judicial enquiry to remove the mysteries that cover the incident by bringing light the real facts.
“We reiterate our consistent stand which is based on principles of civil rights, that encounter killings are not justifiable under any circumstances. Though the full details are still awaited, the police version contains many loopholes and contradictions.” – The statement said.
