Tamilnadu State president of SDPI KKSM Dehlan Baqavi strongly condemned the continuous venomous speech by the BJP leaders that create a wedge among the communities. BJP MP Yogi Adityanath recently said that the Muslim women should be forcibly converted to Hinduism and also stated that the communal riots happen only in Muslim dominated areas.
National Confederation of Human Rights Organizations (NCHRO) has demanded the release of convicts who have spent ten years behind the bars. A protest demonstration was held at Chennai on September 13 to press the demand. The Tamil Nadu State Government normally releases prisoners every year on September 15 on account of the birthday of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai. But in the past few years, the Muslim prisoners’ names did not find a place in the list of released convicts.

Madurai, Sep 5: A 16-year-old dalit boy was allegedly attacked and his wrists slashed by his non-dalit seniors in Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar district on Wednesday night because he wore a wrist watch to school.
Police said P Ramesh, a plus one student of the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Thiruthangal village, was confronted by his seniors when he wore the watch to school on Monday. They forcibly removed it from his wrist and threw it away. The boy fought with his seniors over the issue, and tension prevailed on the school premises.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad completes 50 years of existence this month. The organisation was floated as part of the Sangh Parivar in August 1964 to contain the influence of three ideologies they asserted were alien – Christianity, Islam and Communism – and strengthen Hindu dharmic values among the tribal communities in India and the Hindu diaspora.
